perimeter of 1st square plot = 4× side
=4×102= 408m
perimeter of 2nd square plot=4×130=520m

difference between 2 square plots = 520-408 = 112m

The difference between the perimeters is 112m.

Given:

Length of square 1 = 102m

Length of square 2 = 130m

To find:

The difference in their perimeters.

Solution:

The length of the given squares is 102m and 130m respectively. We need to find the perimeters of these squares.

The perimeter of a square is 4a where a is the side of the square.

Perimeter of square 1 = 4 x 102 = 408m

Perimeter of square 2 = 4 x 130 = 520m

The difference between these perimeters is found by subtracting the two perimeters.

= 520 - 408

= 112m.

Therefore the difference between the perimeters is 112m.
