Changing it in m/sec
(1km/hr =1000/3600 =5/18 m/s)
Speed of train 1=40x5/18
=200/18 m/s
Speed of 2nd train =0km/hr, 0m/s
Both trains running in opposite direction
Then speed = speed of train 1 + speed of train2
=200/18+0
=200/18m/s
Total distance = length of train 1 + length of train 2
=500+500=1000m
Time =distance /speed
=1000x18/200
=5x18
=90 seconds
