It is to bring into your kind notice that a group of hawkers has disturbed the circular road and its surroundings in our locality. The footpaths have been too preoccupied with their encroachments to let the public pass by. Since pedestrians cannot use footpaths therefore they tend to walk on roads and it causes serious traffic congestion and jam

Sir, is not it an illegal act as these hawkers use the public spaces for their vested interests? These vendors, also, do not pay heed to the cleanliness and you may find trash littered around.  

Finally, sir, these profiteers are causing threats to public life by affecting the flow of traffic adversely which increases the risks of accidents. Therefore, you are, very humbly, requested to take a serious notice of this illegal activity and give public relief by initiating an operation against the act of encroachment.

Subject: Problems of hawkers

Dear Sir:

I am writing to your good self to express my concern over the problems caused by hawkers. The roads near the markets have become so narrow that long traffic jams are everyday affair now. There is no space even for pedestrians in the market places. All footpaths have been illegally occupied by vendors. Students face lots of troubles while commuting to school.

Apart from that, this encroachment causes traffic jams also. These long traffic jams cause so much of loss to the nation. Millions of working hours are wasted every day because of these traffic jams. Fuel worth millions of rupees gets wasted by vehicles stuck up in these jams. People’s health is also under attack from the pollution caused by these vehicles. The irritation caused by these jams also leads to many aggressive confrontations among the commuters. Students also incur heavy loss of studies as these jams don’t let them reach to their schools and colleges in time.

These hawkers usually sell unhygienic and low quality food stuffs posing danger to the health of the students.  

I appeal to your good self to look into the matter.  There should be strict action against those who encroach on roads. These vendors should be assigned particular spaces. The food samples should be collected and verified. Only those who sell quality food stuff should be given licenses. I hope you will respond to my requests.
