Given:-

Weight of mixture =20 kg

Percentage of water in mixture = 10%

Weight of water in the mixture = 10% of 20 kg = 2 kg

So, the rest of the weight is of ghee present in the mixture.

Weight of ghee =18kg

Now we have to add water in the mixture so that 25% of the mixture is water and 75% is ghee.

As we already know the Weight of ghee in mixture we will use it to calculate the weight of new mixture.

Let the weight of new mixture be x.

As we know, 75% of x is equal to the weight of ghee.

75% of x = 18 kg

=> 75*x/100=18

=> X=24 kg

Hence the total weight of new mixture is 24 kg.

Now to determine the weight of water added we just need to find the amount of water in the new mixture.

Weight of water in new mixture = Weight of mixture - Weight of ghee =24-18 =6 kg

Earlier 2 kg of water was present in the mixture and now 6kg of water is present in the mixture.

Hence 4 kg of water is added in the mixture to fulfil the given criteria.
