Given the 4 inch cube is painted and cut down into 1 inch cube

Note:

If a "s" inch cube is painted on all sides and cut down into a cube then number cubes we will get is s³ at the same time the number of cube which have no colour will be equals to (s-2)³

From given data s = 4

Then Total number of cubes we will get = 4³ = 64

The number of cubes with no colour = (4-2)³ = 2³ = 8

The number of cubes with no colour = 8
