viruses, bacteria, or parasites; when the source of such infection is contaminated food,it is called food poisoning......... it depends on the time for how long its kept for and is stale from and obviously the immune system's ability to fight against the bacteria or any foreign particle..

These microbes thrive on the energy provided by the food and start multiplying rapidly
