Let us assume that 60 is the class strength and 35 areally poor girls

P (e)=no.of outcomes÷ total no.of outcomes

P (e)=60÷35=1/2

Let the total strength be 100.

Then number of girls in it =

60% of 100 = 60 girls

Then out of 60 girls 35% are poor

therefore, poor girls = 35% of 60

= 21

therefore, probability of poor girls from total strength = 21 /100
