The high growth rate of the Economy has helped India to reduce it's Large Concentration of people living below poverty line.The growth rate rose from 3.5% in the 1970s to 6% in the 1990s.This helped significantly in the reduction of Poverty.
Economic growth of A Country widens Opportunities and provides resources to invest in Human Capital.
From this we can conclude that there is a link between Economic growth and Poverty eradication.
