There is a subpopulation A and another subpopulation B. both are separated by a natural barrier. What will happen in such a case.?

In this situation sub population A and sub population B are separated by geographical isolation.
with generations both populations will accumulate different variation due to factors like genetic drift, natural selection or inaccurate DNA copying.
Hence, sub population A and  sub population B would evolve as two different new species.
