Democracy itself is a self correcting and self sustainable system. You revolt when you are out of other options. Indians are neither as suppressed as you probably believe nor that innocent themselves to revolt. There is no clear division between rulers and the ruled. This would be true for any democratic country. As said in other answer, democracy is better than every thing else although not perfect. It requires people to be aware and fight for their rights. It happens again and again and it will keep happening. People don't want to put too much effort unless need be. If only people are enthusiastic enough, revolutions isn't required at all. We would have much better responsible government. If democracy can't work, expecting revolution to solve anything is being delusional. It won't happen to begin with and if it ever happens, it will just bring chaos and other authoritarian government with no regard for people, no way better than a democratic government where at least you get to select yourself.
