  • The leguminous plants have root nodules in which the nitrogen-fixing bacteria called Rhizobium dwells that fixes up the atmospheric nitrogen and convert it into usable form. So, these plants do not need nitrogenous fertilizers.

° dwells means

live in or at a specified place.°

There is no need to put nitrogenous fertilizers in the field with luminous plants because in have rhizobium bacteria in their root nodules which provides them nitrogen in soluble form.
