There once lived a merchant with his family. He had a son called Amir. Amir was kind and trusted everyone. One day Amir and his father wanted to go on a journey. Since no one would be at home they wanted to leave their valuables with someone they could trust. “With whom shall we leave our valuables when we go out of town?” asked the merchant. “My friend Roy is an honest man”, replied Amir. “He will take care of it.” “Are you sure?” asked the father. “I know him well , he is not a thief” replied Amir. So Amir’s father left a large box with Roy. It was fastened with many locks. On their return, Amir went to his friend’s place to fetch the box. He soon returned crying, “Father you have insulted my friend. He is angry. You gave him a box full of stones in it.” The father asked his son, “How did your friend find the stones in the box?” Amit stood gaping at his father as the truth dawned on him. A.
