There was a question in my school book :
"If you cut a magnet in half, what will happen to the end of the place where you cut?"
I am not able to explain it, but I have attached a diagram.
Can anyone explain WHY the cut points will become the opposite like if the piece had south, the cut edge would become north?

the magnets doesn't lose its magnetic power the 1 magnet will become two magnets
