Solution :-

Total water in Tank = 250 Litres .

→ Remained water in Tank = 175Litre .

→ Drawing water = 250 - 175 = 75 Litre.

So,

Decrease Ratio = (Drawing water) / (Total Water) = (75/250) = (3/10) (Ans).

Tricky Solution :-

Decrease Ratio = 1 - {(Remaining water) / (Total Water)}

→ Decrease Ratio = 1 - { 175 / 250 }

→ Decrease Ratio = 1 - (7/10)

→ Decrease Ratio = (10 - 7) / 10

→ Decrease Ratio = (3/10) (Ans.)

Given

  • There are 250 liters of water in a tank.
  • After drawing water --> 175 liters are remained

To find

Ratio of decrease water

Solution

Amount of water drawing from tank = (Total water - rest water in tank )

= 250-175

= 75

Amount of water drawing from tank is 75

Now Ratio of decreasing water = \sf\frac{Drawing\:water}{Total\:water}

=\frac{75}{250}

=\frac{15}{50} (minimising )

=\frac{3}{10}

Hence the ratios will be\frac{3}{10}
