therefore 24 wheels will have 1/3*24=8

Answer:

Let bicycle be X and tricycles be Y

X+Y =10 ...(1)

As we know

Bicycle have 2 wheels and tricycles have 3 wheels

Therefore,

2X+3Y = 24 ...(2)

By elimination method

2X + 3Y = 24

X + Y = 10

2X + 3Y = 24 (MULTIPLY WHOLE EQ BY 1)

2X + 2Y = 20 ( MULTIPLY WHOLE EQ BY 2)

after the sign changing

We got

[Y=4]

•total 4 tricycles were there.
