if you are using the thermometer which is used in medical purpose...STOP DOING THAT, IT IS DANGEROUS!

and the temperature of the sun cant be measured here on earth just with a thermometer...as the intensity of the heat decreases as the distance increases.

So no it is not measuring the temperature of the sun.
