Let the number be x

2) The fraction that is half way between a and b is (a + b)/2. Here a = 1/4 and b = 1/6

So the fraction that is half way between 1/4 and 1/6 is

$\large{⇒ \frac{ \frac{(3 + 2)}{12} }{2} }$
