Pollution of River Water

Reasons:

  • Household: In riverside areas, people bathe their cattles in the river and they throw their household garbage into water; for this water is polluted.

  • Agriculture: Farmers use pesticides and other harmful chemicals in their fields and those chemicals through water drainage, mix into river water. This cause death of fish and other aquatic creatures.

  • Sewage: Sewage of cities are poured into river water through drains. This cause pollution of river as well as stops the water flow (by plastics), which cause death of thousands of aquatic creatures.

  • Industrial: Oil, radioactive garbage, plastics, etc. are thrown into river. This cause water pollution dangerously, pushing aquatic animals to extinction.
