Life in Danger
A few years back, in 2015 there came a Tsunami in my village and surrounding areas. It was half past afternoon and the sun was about to set when we realised that the people were screaming and there was a rush in my village. I, Mark Smith along with my parents and two sisters went outside our house and then we got to know that the Tsunami had hit the nearby village and sooner shall destroy our homes and all of us. In no time my father rushed inside our house, took some valuable belongings and a bag of money and told us to run and gave the same advice to other villagers. I knew it made no sense to run as sooner or later the Tsunami would capture us and we would be dead. But my dad kept telling us to run and it was not running away from water but we were running away from death. Sometime after I felt tired and was about to give up and then I saw my little sister panting but still running, she had a little bruise on her feet because of stones. Immediately I felt that inner zest that was not for myself but I have to run for my family. I held my sister and ran. After a few minutes, we saw a team of soldiers and a helicopter which rescued us from the Tsunami and saved us from dying. The feeling of the Tsunami was full of danger and numbness in my mind and after we got saved, the only feeling I had was gratefulness towards the soldiers and the Almighty. If it was not for my father's confidence and willingness, we would have not survived.
