Solution :

v^2 = u^2 + 2as

Proof that v^2 = u^2 + 2as

To find the acceleration and distance or velocity when time "t" is not given.

We know that v = u + at and S = u + v / 2 × t

By rearranging the two equations, we have

v - u = at -------------(1)

and

u + v = 2s / t -------(2)

Multiplying (1) and (2), we get

(v - u ) × ( v + u) = (at) × 2s / t

v^2 = u^2 + 2as

Thus, velocity acquired buy a body in travelling a distance "s" can be found out of the equation.
