Yes , water is not used in controlling electrical fires .
This is because water is a good conductor of electricity . Hence , if we use water then it will result in the fire to spread all over the area and doing this can result in further electrical shocks .

So , CO2 extinguisher or sand is used in extinguishing the electrical fires .

For example , aluminium is a metal and it conductes electrical very easily .
