if the girl started walking toward her right hand side direction i.e. South , then the bench is facing towards East . Hmm ....

In case of that guy :-

Speed = 20m/sec

time taken = 100 sec

distance travelled = speed * time = 20 * 100 = 2000 m .

In case of that girl :-

speed = 15m/sec

time taken = 100 sec

Distance = 1500 m

Distance b/w the boy and the girl :-

By Pythagoras's formula ,

Displacement b/w them (AB)² = distance travelled by the boy (OM)² + distance travelled by the girl (ON)²

(AB)² = (OM)² + (ON)²

(AB)² = (2000)² + (1500)²

(AB)² = 4000000 + 2250000

(AB)² = 6250000

AB = √6250000

AB = 2500 m

or 2.5 km

So , they r 2500 m / 2.5km away from each other .
