Answer:-

From the given information in the table, we can pair up X and Z as the solutions which can neutralise each other.

The pH of X is 3.6 showing that it is an acid and the pH of Z is 12.6 showing that it is a base.

When an acid and base reacts, a salt and water is produced in the reaction. This reaction is called neutralization reaction.

The acid, in this reaction, gets neutralised with the help of base.

------------------

The pH of neutral suction will be 7.

In a pH scale, a solution which has measure between 1 - 7, is termed as an acid.

The solution which pH of 7 is teed as a neutral solution.

The solution which jas pH between 7 - 14, is called a base.

------------

pH is basically the power of hydrogen.

The solutions that produces H+ ions is an acid and the solution that produces OH- ions is a base.

How much ever more the H+ ions will be produced in the solution, that much strong acid it will be. And the less the pH it will have.

Similarly, the more OH- in a solution, the more strong the base will be. And the more the pH it will have.
