THIS IS EXTREMELY URGENT AND I REALLY NEED HELP!
When a 5.0 gram sample of naphthalene (C10H8) is burned in a bomb calorimeter, the temperature of the calorimeter increases from 10.5 C to 16.2 C. Assuming the heat capacity of the calorimeter is 8.2 J/C...
What was dH/q/enthalpy change for the reaction?

Answer:

0.2337J

Explanation:

Heat absorbed or given out is given by the following relation

Heat(Q)=m(s)((T2-T1)

s : specific heat (OR) heat capacity

T2: final temperature

T1: initial temperature

=> Q =(0.005)(8.2)(16.2-10.5)

=> Q =0.2337J

P.S : I am assuming that s=8.2J/kg

Hope this answer helped you ✌
