Answer:

Let x,y denot the values of chair&tables

2x+3y= 800----(1)

4x+3y=1000----(2)

__________

- 2x+0 =-200

2x =200

x=200/2

x=100

Then the cost of 3 chairs ,

3(x)=3(100)

the cost of three chairs ie Rs.300

put x=100 in (1)

2(100)+3y=800

200+3y=800

3y=800-200

3y=600

y=600/3

y=200

Then the cost of 3 tables,

3(y)=3(200)

the cost of 3 tables is Rs.600

hope it helps

The cost of table is thrice the cost of chair

  • therefore , if chair = x , then table = 3x

so According to question

Chair + table = 800

x+3x = 800

4x = 800

x = 800/4

x = 200 = Cost of chair

3x = 3*200 = 600 = cost of table
