Hey!
According to me, each of us was given an equal amount of brain capacity. Yes, it does change according to genetic factors, and how you use it. But I think we can call become something else if we decide to be : )
The quote 'All students can learn, just not the same day or the same way' is indeed very true. All of it can change, only when these two things hapen:
You put in effort,
and your teacher puts in the effort.
In fact, all teachers put in the effort. But it doesn't turn out the same for everyone because of our differences. You can't teach an athlete how to code a program in one day! You can't ask a Sprinter to weight lift just like that! You can't expect the Prime Minister to go playing football!
Just like that, no one can expect you to do everything. Just be yourself!
But, I think, the number one blunder you made was to compare yourself with others. Honestly speaking, I sleep in my Sciences classes. No, I'm not lying! I've never been able to cope up with Sciences, so what I do is, take a nice break in the class time.
Usually, people suddenly break off into conversations. Somehow, I have adapted myself to recharge myself in that short while. Take sips of water, wipe your face, doodle in the class, keep your mind fresh to have concentration!
Secondly, never expect too much from yourself. If you think you can't do what others do, then try to adapt yourself around it! You can change the way you study. For example, for me, I'm a great internet addict. I write books and publish them online, even if I know I'm wrong, because the people online will always try to correct you if you're wrong! And that is how I find out where I was wrong.
You can try out an innovative way as well!
