This is one of my favorite free printable logic puzzles with a real life solution.
There are three switches downstairs. Each corresponds to one of the three light bulbs in the attic. You can turn the switches on and off and leave them in any position.
How would you identify which switch corresponds to which light bulb, if you are only allowed one trip upstairs?

Lets name the switches 1,2,and 3. You switch on 2 bulbs, suppose you press switch number 1 and 2. Keep them lit for about 5 minutes. Then, press switch 2 again(the bulb controlled by it will also power off) then go to the bulbs. There would be one bulb giving light that is controlled by Switch 1,then,the other bulb,if hot, would be controlled by Switch number 2 and the last bulb would be cold would be controlled by Switch number 3
