mixtures :-- these are obtained by mixing two or more substances in any proportion. mixture can be homogeneous, i.e., have uniform composition throughout (e.g., salt solution, sugar solution, air, true solutions etc.) or heterogeneous, i.e., have non uniform composition (e.g., mixture of salt and sugar, colloidal solutions etc.).
