This is Trig distance and height. A building 45 metres tall casts a shadow of 15√3 metres long. What is the sun's altitude ?

Answer:In ∆ABC , ∠ACB = 45˚

tanθ  =  AB/BC

tan 45˚ = x/60

1 = x/60

x = 60 m
