Given that ABCD is a parallelogram
⇒ AD // BC
Prove that ΔADF is similar to ΔBEF:
Since AD is // BE and AE and EF are straight lines
⇒ ∠DAF = ∠EBF
⇒ ∠ADF = ∠BEF
⇒ ∠AFD = ∠BFE
therefore ΔADF is similar to ΔBEF
Find the scale factor of ΔADF to ΔBEF:
AD / BE = 2/1
Find the ratio of AF/AB:
AF / AB = AD/ BE = 2/1
Answer: AF/AB = 2/1
