Though ,a strong ruler and strict administrator , but some people belive that the decline of mughal empire had set in during the reign of aurangzeb ? Why?

Answer:because Aurangzeb was against the rajput rulers, Hindus , Sikhs and has too. So the non Muslims revolted due to unequal treatment. And hence it led to the decline of the mughal empire.

Answer:Aurangzeb did not allow to build new temples nor destroy old temple and reimposed the jaziya on the Hindus and festivals like Holi and diwali were banned..which resulted revolts all over the empire..and the Rajputs the jats and the sikhs all united and fought against the mugals...because of this revolts and fights mugal became weaker and then unfortunately declined...
