The salt which is present in the rock and the Rocky surface resulted in protection and preservation of the various soft material which are organic in nature.

The organic tissues and the materials lose water by exosmosis and they are easily fossiled under extreme pressure in the sedimentary rocks which resulted in formation of fossils in the river beds which is present all over the world. Hences salt has been one of the driving factors which head lead to preservation of the organic tissues in the fossils.
