Because arenchyma are related to plants which float above the water these tissue provide them buoyancy (upthrust or upward force) in order to keep the floating. They generally store air (as its name suggests arenchyma something related to air)
similarly paranchyma also stores but the strorage are generally foods and other nutrients and materials but not airs.
Therefore we can say that they have different name on the basis what they store.
