The policy of reservation of forest which was introduced by the colonialists affected the people of Bastar. They agitated against this act of the colonialists.
But unfortunately they were crushed by the people of colonialists. At one stage it gave the rebellions victory as there was a change that were done by the colonialists. Those changes include:
1) There was a pause in the work of the forest reservation.
2) The planned area that was to be brought into reservation was turned into half.
