Three blocks are connected as shown on a horizontal frictionless table, and
pulled to the right with a force of T3= 60 N
Find the acceleration of the system and the values of T1, T2, and T3.

Answer:

Explanation:

Let a be the acceleration of the system.

T  1  =M  1  a .....(1)

T  2 −T  1 =M  2 a ....(2)

F−T 2 =M  3  a ......(3)

Adding (1), (2) and (3)  we get

(M 1 +M  2 +M  3  )a=F

or  (10+20+30)a=60⇒a=1m/s  ^2

Now , T 2  =(M  1 +M  2  )a=(10+20)(1)=30N

Step by Step Explanation :

Total Tension = (m1 + m2 + m3) * a = 60 N

As [F = ma ]

Now

(m1 + m2 + m3) * a = 60 N

(10 + 20 + 30) * a = 60

60a = 60

a = 1 m/s²

Acceleration = a = 1 m/

Now T1 = m1 * a

T1 = 10 × 1 = 10 N

And

T2 = (m1 + m2) * a

T2 = (10 + 20) × 1

T2 = 30 × 1

T2 = 30 N

Hence The answer are :

a = 1 m/

T1 = 10 N

T2 = 30 N

T3 = 60 N (Given)
