Answer:  Three clocks C1, C2 and C3 show correct time  at 3:00 a.m.  Clock C1, uniformly loses 4.5  minutes in an hour .  Clock C2, uniformly loses 1.5  minutes in an hour . clock C3 uniformly  gains 2.5 minutes in an hour

To find : Difference between clock timing at 11 :00 am

Solution:

Three clocks C1, C2 and C3 show correct time  at 3:00 a.m

at 11: 00 am this has been 11 - 3 = 8 hrs

Clock C1, uniformly loses 4.5  minutes in an hour

=> time lost in 8 hrs by C1  = 8 * 4.5  = 36 Minutes

11:00 - 00:36 = 10:24

Time shown by C1  = 10:24 am

Clock C2, uniformly loses 1.5  minutes in an hour

=> time lost in 8 hrs by C2  = 8 * 1.5  = 12 Minutes

11:00 - 00:12 = 10:48

Time shown by C2 = 10:48 am

clock C3 uniformly  gains 2.5 minutes in an hour

=> time gained in 8 hrs by C3  = 8 * 2.5 = 20 Minutes

Time shown by C3 = 11:20 am

C1 & C2 differ  =  10: 48 - 10:24  = 24  Minutes

C2 & C3 differ  =  11: 20 - 10:48  =  32 Minutes

C1 & C3 differ  =  11: 20 - 10:24  =   56 Minutes
