sample space = 8
so the probability of getting 2 tails will be 4/8
so .1/2 is the answer...

Coins tossed = 3

No of Possible Outcomes = 8

They are,

(H,H,H)    (T,T,T)    (H,T,H)    (T,H,T)    (H,H,T)    (T,T,H)    (H,T,T)    (T,H,H)
__________________________________________________________

Case I : At most 2 tails

No of needed Outcomes(2 tails) = 3

Probability that the coin tossed give 2 tails = 3/8

_________________________________________________________

Case II : At least 2 tails

No of needed Outcomes(2 tails) = 4

Probability that the coin tossed give 2 tails = 4/8 = 1/2
