Given:-

  • Sum of three consecutive numbers = 51

To Find:-

  • The values of 3 Integers.

Solution:-

Let,

Unknown three consecutive Integers be x, x+1 & x+2.

ᴀᴄᴄᴏʀᴅɪɴɢ ᴛᴏ ꜱᴜᴍ,

→\;{\sf{x+(x+1)+(x+2) = 51}}

→\;{\sf{3x+3 = 51}}

→\;{\sf{3x = 51-3}}

→\;{\sf{x = \cancel{\frac{48}{3}}}}

→\;{\sf{x = 16}}

Then, x+1 = 17 & x+2 = 18

AnSweR:-

The Three Consecutive Integers Are

◕➜ \Large{\red{\mathfrak{16,17,18}}}

Verification:-

→ x+(x+1)+(x+2) = 51

→ 16+17+18 = 51

→ 51 = 51

LHS = RHS

Answer:

Three consecutive integers add up to 51. What are these integers?

Let consecutive numbers be, x, x+1 and x+2.

According to the condition, we have

x + [x+1] +[x+2] =51

or x + x + 1 + x + 2 =51

or 3x + 3 = 51

Transposing 3 to RHS, we have

3x = 51 - 3 = 48

Dividing both sides by 3, we have:

or x =16

Now x + 1 = 16 + 1 = 17

and x + 2 = 16 + 2 =18

Thus, the required three consecutive numbers are: 16, 17 and 18.
