Answer :-

  • The three consecutive integers are 16, 17 and 18.

To find :-

  • The three consecutive integers that add up to 51.

Solution :-

Let the first integer be "x".

Then :-

  • The other two integers will be "x + 1" and "x + 2" as they are consecutive.

It is given that :-

  • They add up to 51, which means that the sum of x, x + 1 and x + 2 is 51.

Therefore,

⟾ x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 51

⟾ 3x + 3 = 51

⟾ 3x = 51 - 3

⟾ 3x = 48

⟾ x = 48/3

⟾ x = 16

-----------------------------------------------------------

Hence, the integers are :-

  • x = 16.

  • x + 1 = 16 + 1 = 17.

  • x + 2 = 16 + 2 = 18.

Step-by-step explanation:

let \: the \: 1st \: no. \: be \: x \:  \\ the \: 2nd \: no. \: be \: x + 1 \\ the \: 3rd \: no. \: be \: x + 2 \\  \\ 1st \:  no. + 2nd \: no.  +  \: 3rd \: no. \:  = 51 \\ x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 51 \\ x + x + x + 1 + 2 = 51 \\ 3x + 3 = 51 \\ 3x = 51 - 3 \\ 3x = 48 \\ x = 48 \div 3 \\ x = 16 \\  \\ 1st \: integer \: x = 16 \\ 2nd \: integer \:  x + 1  \\ = 16 + 1  \\ = 17 \\ 3rd \: integers \: x + 2  \\ = 16 + 2 \\  = 18 \\  \\ therefore \: the \: three \: consecutive \: integers \: are \: 16 \: 17 \: and \: 18

this is the answer Hope it helps you
