Answer:

the area of the resultant figure = 1400 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

there are three cubes,

side length of each cube = 10 cm

and all the three cubes are joined to end to end.

now it take the form of a cuboid

where,

length of the cuboid = 10 × 3

= 30 cm

and breadth = 10 cm

height = 10 cm

now,

surface area of new cuboid

= 2(lb + bh + lh)

where,

l = length

b = breadth

h = height

putting the values,

surface area = 2{30(10) + 10(10) + 10(30)}

= 2(300 + 100 + 300)

= 2(700)

= 1400 cm²

so,

the area of the resultant figure = 1400 cm²

 \large \underline{  \underline{ \sf \: Solution : \:  \:  \:  }}

Given ,

There are three cubes ,

Side length of each cube is 10 cm and all the three cubes are joined to end to end

now , it take the form of a cuboid

where ,

 \sf \to Length \:  of \:  the \:  cuboid = 10 × 3 \\   \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \sf</p><p>= 30 \:  cm \\  </p><p> \sf \to Breadth = 10 \:  cm</p><p> \\  \\  \sf \to</p><p>Height = 10  \: cm

We know that ,

 \large \fbox{ \fbox{ \sf \: TSA  \: of \:  cuboid = 2(lb + bh + lh) \:  \: }}

 \sf \to TSA = 2{30(10) + 10(10) + 10(30)} \\  \\  \sf \to</p><p></p><p>TSA = 2(300 + 100 + 300)</p><p> \\  \\  \sf \to</p><p>TSA = 2(700) \\  \\  \sf \to </p><p></p><p>TSA = 1400 \:  \:  {cm}^{2}

Hence , the surface area of the resultant figure is 1400 cm²
