hii!!

here's ur answer...

if we join 3 cubes of edge=3cm, then their length will be=3+3+3=9cm and it will form a cuboid.

TSA of the cuboid=2(lb+bh+lh)

=2{(9×3)+(3×3)+(8×3)}

=2(27+9+27)

=2×63

=126cm²

hope this helps...

Given: Side of the cubes= 3cm

Three cubes are joined side by side to form a cuboid.

To Find: Surface area of the cuboid.

Solution:

If three cubes of 3cm each are placed side by side,

Length of the cuboid= (3 + 3 + 3) cm

                                  = 9cm

Breadth and height remain the same as the cube

Breadth of cuboid = 3cm

Height of the cuboid = 3cm

∴ Surface area of cuboid= 2 (lb + bh + lh), [where l= length, b= breadth, h=height]

                                     = 2 (9\times3 + 3\times3 + 9\times3)

                                     = 2(27 + 9 + 27)

                                      = 2 \times 63

                                      = 126 cm²

Answer: The surface area of the cuboid is 126 cm².
