To find : The total surface area of resulting cuboid?

Solution : -

Length of each side of cubes = 6cm

Now, 3 cubes are joined end to end

So, the Length of resulting cuboid will be 6+6+6 = 18cm

But the Breadth and Height will remain same

So, Breadth = 6 cm and Height = 6 cm and Length=18 cm

Surface area of resulting cuboid  

A= 2(lb+ bh + hl)\\ A= 2(18 \times 6 + 6 \times 6 + 6 \times 18)\\A= 2(108 + 36 + 108)\\A= 2(252)\\A= 2 \times 252\\A= 504

Therefore, The total surface area of resulting cuboid = 504 cm square
