Step-by-step explanation:

Two cubs with edge length 8 cm are joined

new length = 2 (8 cm) = 16 cm

new breadth = 8 cm

new height = 8 cm

Surface area of cuboid 2 (lb+bh+hl)

=2[16×8+8.8+8×16]

2[320]=640cm

Given -

  • Three cubes, each having side = 8 cm

To find -

  • Surface area Of the resulting cuboid

Solution -

The length of the resulting cuboid = 3 × 8 = 24 cm

Width of the resulting cuboid = 8 cm

Height of the resulting cuboid = 8 cm

Formula to find the total surface area of cuboid -

  • 2( l × b + b × h + h × l)

= 2( 24 × 8 + 8 × 8 + 8 × 24)

= 896 \sf{cm^2}

Know more :-

Cuboid -

  • Total surface Area = 2 (Length × Breadth + breadth × height + Length × height)

  • Volume =  (length × breadth × height)

  • Perimeter = 4 (length + breadth + height)

Cube -

  • Total surface area = 6 × \sf{(side)^2}

  • Volume = \sf{(side)^3}

  • Perimeter = 12 × side
