so,

new cube =216+512+1000

V_2=8^3= 512 cm^3

the volume of cube having edge length  10 cm is

V_3=10^3= 1000cm^3

Now the total volume is

V= 216 cm³+512 cm³+1000 cm³

Let x is the edge of new cube

\therefore\\V=x^3\\\\\Rightarrow 1728= x^3\\\\\Rightarrow \sqrt[3]{1728} =x\\\\\Rightarrow x=12 cm
