- It does not matter how much force we are applying on a heavy object,the mass of the object remains the same
- If we apply force on a moving object in a direction opposite to the motion of the object,it comes to rest. For example,a cricket ball is stopped by a player by applying a force in the direction opposite to the direction of motion of the ball . When we apply the brakes on a moving scooter , it will stop. Similarly you have to apply force to stop yourself from running
- If we apply force on an object ,the shape and size of the object changes. For example,when we press a balloon filled with air,the shape of the object changes. When chapatis are being rolled ,the shape and size of the dough changes. You can change the shape and size of a spring by pulling or compressing it
