The order of their basic nature is X>Z>Y.

  • The element X has an atomic number 11 so, it is Na.
  • The element Y has an atomic number 7 so, it is N.
  • The element Z has an atomic number 6 so, it is C.
  • Again when we move from Na to C to N the metallic character decreases and the basic character also decreases.
  • Thus the oxide of Na will be more basic than the oxide of C and than the oxide of N.
  • The order of basicity of the oxides is as follows-
  • X>Z>Y
