Photosynthesis is an endothermic chemical reaction or process.
Photosynthesis occurs in all green plants to make food for other animals as consumers.
Photosynthesis is a two stage process.
1]. Absorption of light energy takes place by the action green pigment known as chlorophyll.
Chlorophyll is found in chloroplasts that are present in leaves of the plant.
2].Conversion of light energy from external source that is sun into chemical energy inside internal source that is plant's leaves takes place.
3].Formation of sugar molecules that is starch energy takes place
Its basically the storage of chemical energy in form of sugars.
These all three events occur in two different pairs of reactions or process.
That's why photosynthesis is called as two stage process
