Three girls Rita, Sita and Mita are playing a game by sitting on a circle of radius
5m drawn in a park. Rita throws a ball to Sita, Sita to Mita, Mita to Rita. If the
distance between Rita and Sita and between Sita and Mita is 6m each, what is the

Answer:

The distance between Rita and Mita is 6 meters .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

Three girls Rita, Sita and Mita are playing a game by sitting on a circle of radius  5 m .

The radius of circle = 5 m

The distance between Sita and Mita = 6 m

The distance between Rita and Sita = 6 m

let The distance between Rita and Mita = x m

As They are sitting in circle

So, The distance between two girls is length of arc

i,e Length of arc = l = \dfrac{\Pi \times radius\times \Theta }{180^{\circ}}

Or, 6 = \dfrac{\Pi \times 5\times \Theta }{180^{\circ}}

Or, \dfrac{\pi \times \Theta }{180^{\circ}} = \dfrac{6}{5}                ..... ...A

Similarly

The distance between Rita and Mita =  Length of arc = l' = \dfrac{\Pi \times radius\times \Theta }{180^{\circ}}

i.e  x = \dfrac{\Pi \times 5\times \Theta }{180^{\circ}}

Or, x = \dfrac{\pi \times \Theta }{180^{\circ}}  × 5

or, x = \dfrac{6}{5} × 5

∴   x = 6 m

So, The distance between Rita and Mita = x = 6 m

Hence, The distance between Rita and Mita is 6 meters . Answer
