Assume that T , B & R are the years / time of establishment for Tata, Birla and Reliance respectively
To Simplify calculation we are leaving 1000 lakh from each and will use in end
The average profit of Tata is 75
so Total profit of Tata = 75T
The average profit of Birla is 64
=> Total Profit of Birla = 64B
The average profit of Reliance is 73
=> Total Profit of Reliance is 73R
The average profit of all results of Tata and Birla together is 70
=> (75T + 64B)/(T + B) = 70
=> 75T + 64B = 70T + 70B
=> 5T = 6B Eq1
The average profit of all results of Birla and Reliance together is 69
=> (73R + 64B)/(R + B) = 69
=> 73R + 64B = 69R + 69B
=> 4R = 5B Eq2
5T = 6B => 25T = 30B
4R = 5B => 24R = 30B
=> 25T = 30B = 24R = 600K
=> T =24K , B = 20K , R = 25K
average profit for all the three group of companies
= ( 75T + 64B + 73R) / ( T + B + R )
now subsisting T = 36K , B = 30K , R = 25K
= ( 75 * 24K + 64 *20K + 73 * 25K) / (24K + 20K + 25K)
K will be cancelled
= ( 1800 + 1280 + 1825)/ ( 69)
= 4905/69
= 71.086
multiply with 1000 lakhs
= 71086 lakhs
