Three identical blocks of masses m = 2kg us drawn by force F = 10.2 N with ab acceleration of 0.6m/s² on a frictionless surface , then what is the tension (in N ) in the string between the blocks B and C ? ​

Let the tension between B and C be T

M=2kg

F−T=ma

10.2−T=ma

10.2−T=2×0.6

10.2−T=1.2

10.5−1.2=T

T=9N

  • T₁- T₂ = ma ___________(ii)
  • eq (i) gives
  • 10.2 - T = 2× 0.6
  • T = 10.2-1.2 = 9N
  • ⟹again from eqs (ii) ,we get
  • ⟹9- T₂ = 2× 0.6
  • ⟹T₂ = 9-1.2 = 7.8 N Answer
